Installing it on the server side is optional for some additional features like world identification. For the purposes of following multiplayer server rules, there are 2 mod editions, full and fair-play, the latter being designed for fair PVP. Please read the "Minimap features" section below for a more complete list. These are just some of the features of the mod while there are many more. The minimap can display the surrounding blocks above ground and below ground ( cave mode). In addition to the default compass directions, you can place your own waypoints that are visible both on the minimap and in the game world. Waypoints help you find previously visited locations or reach specific coordinates, with optional teleportation. The minimap can display the surrounding entities, including players, mobs and items, as dots with a custom color or as icons (usually heads).

While originally requiring a complex manual installation, JC2-MP can now be downloaded with one click of a button on Just Cause 2's DLC page in the Steam store.Unlike many other minimap mods, Xaero's minimap keeps the aesthetic of vanilla Minecraft, which helps it be a more seamless addition to the game. Finding a wealth of community support, the team continued development, even getting the blessing of Avalanche Studios to bring the multiplayer mod to life. While development news went dark throughout 2011, bits and pieces resurfaced in 2012 and eventually the mod went into a series of beta tests.
The modding team of (aliases) Trix, jaxm, Woet and several others envisioned a Panau where friends - and enemies - could experiment and raise hell in the physics playground that Panau offered. The mod, which is currently available as an official add-on for Just Cause 2 on Steam, originally began as an idea and a YouTube channel back in 2010. While the news broke recently that Just Cause 3 isn't being developed with an online element in mind, it rekindled our interest in this excellent mod that allows players to join up with one another and wreak havoc on the island nation of Panau. Yes, it might be "old news," but in our quest to show off all of our favorite PC mods there was no avoiding the multiplayer mod for Just Cause 2.
